Matt.1.22All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:
Matt.2.15and remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet, “Out of Egypt I called my son.”
Matt.2.17Then was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah:
Matt.2.23And he went and lived in a city called Nazareth, that what was spoken by the prophets might be fulfilled: “He shall be called a Nazarene.”
Matt.3.3For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah when he said, “ The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make his paths straight. ’ ”
Matt.4.14so that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled:
Matt.8.17This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “He took our illnesses and bore our diseases.”
Matt.9.33And when the demon had been cast out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, “Never was anything this seen in Israel.”
Matt.10.19When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour.
Matt.10.20For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
Matt.11.7As they went away, Jesus began to speak to the crowds concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
Matt.12.17This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah:
Matt.12.22Then a demon-oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the man spoke and saw.
Matt.12.32And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
Matt.12.34You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Matt.12.36I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give for every careless word they speak,
Matt.12.46While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him.
Matt.13.10Then the disciples came and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”
Matt.13.13This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
Matt.13.35This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet: “ I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter what has been hidden since the foundation of the world.”
Matt.14.27But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
Matt.15.31so that the crowd wondered, when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.
Matt.16.11How is it that you fail to understand that I did not speak about bread? Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
Matt.17.5He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”
Matt.17.13Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist.
Matt.17.25He said, “Yes.” And when he came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tax? From their sons or from others?”
Matt.21.4This took place to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet, saying,
Matt.21.45When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he was speaking about them.

Matt.26.47While he was still speaking, Judas came, one of the twelve, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the elders of the people.
Matt.27.9Then was fulfilled what had been spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, saying, “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him on whom a price had been set by some of the sons of Israel,
Mark.1.34And he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.
Mark.2.7Why does this man speak that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
Mark.4.33With many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it.
Mark.4.34He did not speak to them without a parable, but privately to his own disciples he explained everything.
Mark.5.35While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler’s house some who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?”
Mark.6.50for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
Mark.7.35And his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly.
Mark.7.37And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”
Mark.9.39But Jesus said, “Do not stop him, for no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able soon afterward to speak evil of me.
Mark.12.1And he began to speak to them in parables. “A man planted a vineyard and put a fence around it and dug a pit for the winepress and built a tower, and leased it to tenants and went into another country.
Mark.12.26And as for the dead being raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
Mark.13.11And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
Mark.14.43And immediately, while he was still speaking, Judas came, one of the twelve, and with him a crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
Mark.14.71But he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, “I do not know this man of whom you speak.”
Mark.16.17And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
Mark.16.19So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
Luke.1.19And the angel answered him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news.

Luke.20.21So they asked him, “Teacher, we know that you speak and teach rightly, and show no partiality, but truly teach the way of God.
Luke.20.39Then some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, you have spoken well.”
Luke.21.5And while some were speaking of the temple, how it was adorned with noble stones and offerings, he said,

Luke.24.25And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
Luke.24.44Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”
John.1.40One of the two who heard John speak and Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
John.2.21But he was speaking about the temple of his body.
John.2.22When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.
John.3.11Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

John.7.26And here he is, speaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be that the authorities really know that this is the Christ?
John.7.46The officers answered, “No one ever spoke this man!”
John.8.12Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John.8.20These words he spoke in the treasury, as he taught in the temple; but no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.
John.8.27They did not understand that he had been speaking to them about the Father.
John.8.28So Jesus said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me.
John.8.38I speak of what I have seen with my Father, and you do what you have heard from your father.”
John.8.44You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
John.9.21But how he now sees we do not know, nor do we know who opened his eyes. Ask him; he is of age. He will speak for himself.”
John.9.29We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this man, we do not know where he comes from.”
John.9.37Jesus said to him, “You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you.”
John.11.13Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that he meant taking rest in sleep.
John.12.29The crowd that stood there and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to him.”
John.12.38so that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: “ Lord, who has believed what he heard from us, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
John.12.41Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke of him.
John.12.48The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.
John.12.49For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak.
John.13.18I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled, ‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’
John.13.22The disciples looked at one another, uncertain of whom he spoke.
John.13.24so Simon Peter motioned to him to ask Jesus of whom he was speaking.
John.14.10Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.
John.14.25“These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you.
John.15.3Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you.
John.15.11These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
John.15.22If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.
John.16.13When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
John.16.25“I have said these things to you in figures of speech. The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech but will tell you plainly about the Father.
John.16.29His disciples said, “Ah, now you are speaking plainly and not using figurative speech!
John.17.1When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you,
John.17.13But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
John.18.1When Jesus had spoken these words, he went out with his disciples across the Kidron Valley, where there was a garden, which he and his disciples entered.
John.18.9This was to fulfill the word that he had spoken: “Of those whom you gave me I have lost not one.”
John.18.16but Peter stood outside at the door. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to the servant girl who kept watch at the door, and brought Peter in.
John.18.20Jesus answered him, “I have spoken openly to the world. I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret.
John.18.32This was to fulfill the word that Jesus had spoken to show by what kind of death he was going to die.
John.19.10So Pilate said to him, “You will not speak to me? Do you not know that I have authority to release you and authority to crucify you?”
Acts.1.3To them he presented himself alive after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.
Acts.1.16Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.

Acts.7.6And God spoke to this effect—that his offspring would be sojourners in a land belonging to others, who would enslave them and afflict them four hundred years.

Acts.10.46For they were hearing them speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter declared,
Acts.11.15As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning.
Acts.11.19Now those who were scattered because of the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except Jews.
Acts.11.20But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Hellenists also, preaching the Lord Jesus.
Acts.13.34And as for the fact that he raised him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, he has spoken in this way, “ ‘ I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’
Acts.13.43And after the meeting of the synagogue broke up, many Jews and devout converts to Judaism Paul and Barnabas, who, as they spoke with them, urged them to continue in the grace of God.
Acts.13.45But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, reviling him.
Acts.13.46And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken first to you. Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.
Acts.14.1Now at Iconium they entered together into the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed.
Acts.14.3So they remained for a long time, speaking boldly for the Lord, who bore witness to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
Acts.14.9He listened to Paul speaking. And Paul, looking intently at him and seeing that he had faith to be made well,
Acts.14.25And when they had spoken the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia,
Acts.15.13After they finished speaking, James replied, “Brothers, listen to me.

Acts.18.25He had been instructed in the way of the Lord. And being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Jesus, though he knew only the baptism of John.
Acts.18.26He began to speak boldly in the synagogue, but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him and explained to him the way of God more accurately.
Acts.19.6And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.
Acts.19.8And he entered the synagogue and for three months spoke boldly, reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God.
Acts.19.9But when some became stubborn and continued in unbelief, speaking evil of the Way before the congregation, he withdrew from them and took the disciples with him, reasoning daily in the hall of Tyrannus.
Acts.20.30and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.
Acts.20.38being sorrowful most of all because of the word he had spoken, that they would not see his face again. And they accompanied him to the ship.
Acts.21.39Paul replied, “I am a Jew, from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no obscure city. I beg you, permit me to speak to the people.”
Acts.22.9Now those who were with me saw the light but did not understand the voice of the one who was speaking to me.
Acts.22.12“And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there,
Acts.23.5And Paul said, “I did not know, brothers, that he was the high priest, for it is written, ‘You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.’ ”
Acts.23.9Then a great clamor arose, and some of the scribes of the Phariseesparty stood up and contended sharply, “We find nothing wrong in this man. What if a spirit or an angel spoke to him?”
Acts.24.10And when the governor had nodded to him to speak, Paul replied:“Knowing that for many years you have been a judge over this nation, I cheerfully make my defense.
Acts.24.24After some days Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish, and he sent for Paul and heard him speak about faith in Christ Jesus.
Acts.26.1So Agrippa said to Paul, “You have permission to speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand and made his defense:
Acts.26.25But Paul said, “I am not out of my mind, most excellent Festus, but I am speaking true and rational words.
Acts.26.26For the king knows about these things, and to him I speak boldly. For I am persuaded that none of these things has escaped his notice, for this has not been done in a corner.
Acts.28.20For this reason, therefore, I have asked to see you and speak with you, since it is because of the hope of Israel that I am wearing this chain.”
Acts.28.21And they said to him, “We have received no letters from Judea about you, and none of the brothers coming here has reported or spoken any evil about you.
Acts.28.22But we desire to hear from you what your views are, for with regard to this sect we know that everywhere it is spoken against.”
Rom.3.5But if our unrighteousness serves to show the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unrighteous to inflict wrath on us? (I speak in a human way.)
Rom.3.19Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God.
Rom.4.6just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works:

1Cor.14.5Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up.
1Cor.14.6Now, brothers, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?
1Cor.14.9So with yourselves, if with your tongue you utter speech that is not intelligible, how will anyone know what is said? For you will be speaking into the air.
1Cor.14.13Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue should pray for the power to interpret.
