Matt.3.14John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”

John.18.14It was Caiaphas who had advised the Jews that it would be expedient that one man should die for the people.
John.18.28Then they led Jesus from the house of Caiaphas to the governor’s headquarters. It was early morning. They themselves did not enter the governor’s headquarters, so that they would not be defiled, but could eat the Passover.
John.18.30They answered him, “If this man were not doing evil, we would not have delivered him over to you.”
John.18.36Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”
John.19.11Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin.”
John.19.31Since it was the day of Preparation, and so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away.
John.21.25Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.
Acts.2.30Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne,

Acts.18.14But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, “If it were a matter of wrongdoing or vicious crime, O Jews, I would have reason to accept your complaint.
Acts.19.30But when Paul wished to go in among the crowd, the disciples would not let him.
Acts.20.38being sorrowful most of all because of the word he had spoken, that they would not see his face again. And they accompanied him to the ship.
Acts.21.14And since he would not be persuaded, we ceased and said, “Let the will of the Lord be done.”
Acts.21.26Then Paul took the men, and the next day he purified himself along with them and went into the temple, giving notice when the days of purification would be fulfilled and the offering presented for each one of them.
Acts.23.4Those who stood by said, “Would you revile God’s high priest?”
Acts.23.10And when the dissension became violent, the tribune, afraid that Paul would be torn to pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him away from among them by force and bring him into the barracks.
Acts.23.30And when it was disclosed to me that there would be a plot against the man, I sent him to you at once, ordering his accusers also to state before you what they have against him.”
Acts.24.26At the same time he hoped that money would be given him by Paul. So he sent for him often and conversed with him.
Acts.25.22Then Agrippa said to Festus, “I would to hear the man myself.” “Tomorrow,” said he, “you will hear him.”
Acts.26.22To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass:
Acts.26.23that the Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.”
Acts.26.28And Agrippa said to Paul, “In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?”
Acts.26.29And Paul said, “Whether short or long, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am—except for these chains.”
Acts.27.17After hoisting it up, they used supports to undergird the ship. Then, fearing that they would run aground on the Syrtis, they lowered the gear, and thus they were driven along.

Rom.4.11He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised, so that righteousness would be counted to them as well,
Rom.4.13For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith.
Rom.5.7For one will scarcely die for a righteous personthough perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die
Rom.6.6We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
Rom.7.7What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
Rom.9.29And as Isaiah predicted, “ If the Lord of hosts had not left us offspring, we would have been Sodom and become Gomorrah.”
Rom.9.31but that Israel who pursued a law that would lead to righteousness did not succeed in reaching that law.
Rom.11.6But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.
Rom.11.8as it is written, “ God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day.”
Rom.13.3For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval,
