Matt.3.1In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
Matt.11.11Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
Matt.11.12From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.
Matt.14.2and he said to his servants, “This is John the Baptist. He has been raised from the dead; that is why these miraculous powers are at work in him.”
Matt.14.8Prompted by her mother, she said, “Give me the head of John the Baptist here on a platter.”
Matt.16.14And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
Matt.17.13Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist.
Mark.6.14King Herod heard of it, for Jesusname had become known. Some said, “John the Baptist has been raised from the dead. That is why these miraculous powers are at work in him.”
Mark.6.24And she went out and said to her mother, “For what should I ask?” And she said, “The head of John the Baptist.”
