A picture named donna-reading-small.jpg Today donna is celebrating the first year of the second half of her life, and i'm taking the day off from work to help her celebrate. She's thinking about her studies and academic goals, which is really nothing new for her.

A picture named nantucket-cutout.jpgWe've been married for 5 years this July. People often wonder how a middle-aged computer guy like me managed to snag such a hot looking 28-year old. I honestly don't know, but every year we're married i love and appreciate her more, and count myself blessed. We were at a luncheon yesterday for her Senior Chorus, whose average age must be up around 70+. One of the members quipped "There's three ages in life: youth, adulthood, and 'you look great!'" (Donna is nowhere near that third age yet, by the way.)

A picture named us-thumb2.jpgMore seriously, Paul's comments about "facing forward" seem appropriate for the reflections that go with birthdays.

But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14)

Happy Birthday Sweetie! I love you.
