Stephen, the webmaster for Good News Publishing and the English Standard Version, wrote to let me know that he'd written a plug-in to put ESV passage search in the Firefox search bar. Thanks to Mark for some kind words about my post: it really is fun, though also somewhat unstable. Yesterday my "weather <zipcode>" search starting going elsewhere. I too suspected it's just the "feeling lucky" Google search, though there seems to be some counter-evidence: "semantic" + Feeling Lucky sends you to the W3C Semantic Web page, but (as previously noted) the location bar version send you nowhere.
