A picture named OWL.gif I'm really excited to announce my first release of semantic Bible meta-data ... in fact, as far as i can tell, the first Bible information in the Ontology Web Language (OWL) anywhere on the web. New Testament Names is a semantic knowledge base: it describes an ontology for people, places, and certain other kinds of named things from the New Testament. In addition, it identifies and classifies nearly every name in the New Testament: about 600 in all. The graph below shows a highly abbreviated view of the main classes and the relationships (properties) between them. The next phase of the project will focus on filling out the properties, which is where it gets really interesting.

Go to the overview for a fuller description of what this is and what it means, or you can download the OWL data here.
