David Davies pulled this quote out of an interview with Tim Berners-Lee on the BBC about the Semantic Web:

"All I'm looking for now is just interoperability for data."

That goes for the Semantic Bible vision too, though it goes even further to deeper semantics. But if we could just connect lexicons at the word level, do smart searches, annotate people with bios, locations with maps: what a much more useful resource we'd have!
