If you're in the tiny (perhaps empty) intersection of geeks who use RSS but don't read Dave Winer's Scripting News, you might have missed his post on Wired News' very cool new service to combine keyword query with RSS aggregation. You set up an RSS feed and subscribe to it, and then new articles that match get snagged by your RSS reader. This is powerful way to focus on news that really interests you (provided it can be defined by keywords! that's a topic for another day).

I love Winer's comment on this: "We used to just do ego surfing, now we can do ego aggregation." (of course, you have to have enough ego mass to get mentioned in Wired!).  See his post for the details. You could try subscribing to this query, but don't expect high volume :-).

(PS to Mom: i'll explain this to you if/when the New York Times ever sets up something comparable)
