Matt.4.17From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Matt.8.15He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and began to serve him.
Matt.11.7As they went away, Jesus began to speak to the crowds concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
Matt.11.20Then he began to denounce the cities where most of his mighty works had been done, because they did not repent.
Matt.12.1At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.
Matt.14.30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.”
Matt.16.7And they began discussing it among themselves, saying, “We brought no bread.”
Matt.16.21From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.
Matt.16.22And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “Far be it from you, Lord! This shall never happen to you.”
Matt.18.24When he began to settle, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.
Matt.18.28But when that same servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii, and seizing him, he began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay what you owe.’
Matt.19.4He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female,
Matt.19.8He said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.
Matt.20.8And when evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last, up to the first.’
Matt.24.8All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.
Matt.24.21For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.
Matt.24.49and begins to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards,
Matt.26.22And they were very sorrowful and began to say to him one after another, “Is it I, Lord?”
Matt.26.37And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled.
Matt.26.74Then he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, “I do not know the man.” And immediately the rooster crowed.
Matt.27.24So when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but rather that a riot was beginning, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, “I am innocent of this man’s blood; see to it yourselves.”
Mark.1.1The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Mark.1.31And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever left her, and she began to serve them.
Mark.1.45But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places, and people were coming to him from every quarter.
Mark.2.23One Sabbath he was going through the grainfields, and as they made their way, his disciples began to pluck heads of grain.
Mark.4.1Again he began to teach beside the sea. And a very large crowd gathered about him, so that he got into a boat and sat in it on the sea, and the whole crowd was beside the sea on the land.
Mark.5.17And they began to beg Jesus to depart from their region.
Mark.5.20And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and everyone marveled.
Mark.5.42And immediately the girl got up and began walking (for she was twelve years of age), and they were immediately overcome with amazement.
Mark.6.2And on the Sabbath he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things? What is the wisdom given to him? How are such mighty works done by his hands?
Mark.6.7And he called the twelve and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits.
Mark.6.34When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things.
Mark.6.55and ran about the whole region and began to bring the sick people on their beds to wherever they heard he was.
Mark.8.11The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven to test him.
Mark.8.16And they began discussing with one another the fact that they had no bread.
Mark.8.31And he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes and be killed, and after three days rise again.
Mark.8.32And he said this plainly. And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.
Mark.10.6But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’
Mark.10.28Peter began to say to him, “See, we have left everything and you.”
Mark.10.32And they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them. And they were amazed, and those who were afraid. And taking the twelve again, he began to tell them what was to happen to him,
Mark.10.41And when the ten heard it, they began to be indignant at James and John.
Mark.10.47And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Mark.11.15And they came to Jerusalem. And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons.
Mark.12.1And he began to speak to them in parables. “A man planted a vineyard and put a fence around it and dug a pit for the winepress and built a tower, and leased it to tenants and went into another country.
Mark.13.5And Jesus began to say to them, “See that no one leads you astray.
Mark.13.8For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains.
Mark.13.19For in those days there will be such tribulation as has not been from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, and never will be.
Mark.14.19They began to be sorrowful and to say to him one after another, “Is it I?”
Mark.14.33And he took with him Peter and James and John, and began to be greatly distressed and troubled.
Mark.14.65And some began to spit on him and to cover his face and to strike him, saying to him, “Prophesy!” And the guards received him with blows.
Mark.14.69And the servant girl saw him and began again to say to the bystanders, “This man is one of them.”
Mark.14.71But he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, “I do not know this man of whom you speak.”
Mark.15.8And the crowd came up and began to ask Pilate to do as he usually did for them.
Mark.15.18And they began to salute him, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
Luke.1.2just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word have delivered them to us,
Luke.2.38And coming up at that very hour she began to give thanks to God and to speak of him to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.
Luke.2.44but supposing him to be in the group they went a day’s journey, but then they began to search for him among their relatives and acquaintances,

Luke.5.7They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.
Luke.5.21And the scribes and the Pharisees began to question, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
Luke.7.15And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.
Luke.7.24When John’s messengers had gone, Jesus began to speak to the crowds concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
Luke.7.38and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment.
Luke.7.49Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, “Who is this, who even forgives sins?”
Luke.9.12Now the day began to wear away, and the twelve came and said to him, “Send the crowd away to go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find lodging and get provisions, for we are here in a desolate place.”
Luke.11.29When the crowds were increasing, he began to say, “This generation is an evil generation. It seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.
Luke.11.53As he went away from there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to press him hard and to provoke him to speak about many things,
Luke.12.1In the meantime, when so many thousands of the people had gathered together that they were trampling one another, he began to say to his disciples first, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Luke.12.45But if that servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and get drunk,
Luke.13.25When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, open to us,’ then he will answer you, ‘I do not know where you come from.’
Luke.13.26Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’
Luke.14.9and he who invited you both will come and say to you, ‘Give your place to this person,’ and then you will begin with shame to take the lowest place.
Luke.14.18But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a field, and I must go out and see it. Please have me excused.’
Luke.14.29Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,
Luke.14.30saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’
Luke.15.14And when he had spent everything, a severe famine arose in that country, and he began to be in need.
Luke.15.24For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate.
Luke.19.37As he was drawing nearalready on the way down the Mount of Olives—the whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen,

Luke.23.2And they began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man misleading our nation and forbidding us to give tribute to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.”
Luke.23.30Then they will begin to say to the mountains, ‘Fall on us,’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us.’
Luke.23.54It was the day of Preparation, and the Sabbath was beginning.
Luke.24.27And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
Luke.24.47and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
John.1.1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
