Matt.1.18  Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit;
Matt.1.20  But as he considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit;
Matt.1.22  All this took place to fulfil what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:
Matt.1.24  When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him; he took his wife,
Matt.2.13  Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there till I tell you; for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him."
Matt.2.14  And he rose and took the child and his mother by night, and departed to Egypt,
Matt.2.20  "Rise, take the child and his mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the child's life are dead."
Matt.2.21  And he rose and took the child and his mother, and went to the land of Israel.
Matt.4.5  Then the devil took him to the holy city, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple,
Matt.4.8  Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them;
Matt.5.40  and if any one would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak as well;
Matt.7.4  Or how can you say to your brother, `Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye?
Matt.7.5  You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
Matt.8.17  This was to fulfil what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, "He took our infirmities and bore our diseases."
Matt.9.2  And behold, they brought to him a paralytic, lying on his bed; and when Jesus saw their faith he said to the paralytic, "Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven."
Matt.9.6  But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins"--he then said to the paralytic--"Rise, take up your bed and go home."
Matt.9.15  And Jesus said to them, "Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? The days will come, when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.
Matt.9.22  Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, "Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well." And instantly the woman was made well.
Matt.9.25  But when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
Matt.10.9  Take no gold, nor silver, nor copper in your belts,
Matt.10.38  and he who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
Matt.11.6  And blessed is he who takes no offense at me."
Matt.11.12  From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and men of violence take it by force.
Matt.11.29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Matt.12.14  But the Pharisees went out and took counsel against him, how to destroy him.
Matt.13.12  For to him who has will more be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
Matt.13.31  Another parable he put before them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed which a man took and sowed in his field;
Matt.13.33  He told them another parable. "The kingdom of heaven is like leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, till it was all leavened."
Matt.13.57  And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house."
Matt.14.12  And his disciples came and took the body and buried it; and they went and told Jesus.
Matt.14.19  Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass; and taking the five loaves and the two fish he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.
Matt.14.20  And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of the broken pieces left over.
Matt.14.27  But immediately he spoke to them, saying, "Take heart, it is I; have no fear."
Matt.15.26  And he answered, "It is not fair to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."
Matt.15.36  he took the seven loaves and the fish, and having given thanks he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.
Matt.15.37  And they all ate and were satisfied; and they took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces left over.
Matt.16.6  Jesus said to them, "Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees."
Matt.16.22  And Peter took him and began to rebuke him, saying, "God forbid, Lord! This shall never happen to you."
Matt.16.24  Then Jesus told his disciples, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
Matt.17.1  And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain apart.
Matt.17.25  He said, "Yes." And when he came home, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, "What do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tribute? From their sons or from others?"
Matt.17.27  However, not to give offense to them, go to the sea and cast a hook, and take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find a shekel; take that and give it to them for me and for yourself."
Matt.18.16  But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every word may be confirmed by the evidence of two or three witnesses.
Matt.18.31  When his fellow servants saw what had taken place, they were greatly distressed, and they went and reported to their lord all that had taken place.
Matt.20.14  Take what belongs to you, and go; I choose to give to this last as I give to you.
Matt.20.17  And as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them,
Matt.21.4  This took place to fulfil what was spoken by the prophet, saying,
Matt.21.21  And Jesus answered them, "Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and never doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will be done.
Matt.21.35  and the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and stoned another.
Matt.21.39  And they took him and cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him.
Matt.21.43  Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing the fruits of it."
Matt.22.15  Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how to entangle him in his talk.
Matt.23.30  saying, `If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.'
Matt.24.4  And Jesus answered them, "Take heed that no one leads you astray.
Matt.24.6  And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
Matt.24.17  let him who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house;
Matt.24.18  and let him who is in the field not turn back to take his mantle.
Matt.24.34  Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all these things take place.
Matt.24.40  Then two men will be in the field; one is taken and one is left.
Matt.24.41  Two women will be grinding at the mill; one is taken and one is left.
Matt.25.1  "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be compared to ten maidens who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.
Matt.25.3  For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them;
Matt.25.4  but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps.
Matt.25.28  So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents.
Matt.25.29  For to every one who has will more be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
Matt.26.4  and took counsel together in order to arrest Jesus by stealth and kill him.
Matt.26.26  Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take, eat; this is my body."
Matt.26.27  And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, "Drink of it, all of you;
Matt.26.37  And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled.
Matt.26.45  Then he came to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Matt.26.52  Then Jesus said to him, "Put your sword back into its place; for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.
Matt.26.56  But all this has taken place, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled." Then all the disciples forsook him and fled.
Matt.27.1  When morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death;
Matt.27.6  But the chief priests, taking the pieces of silver, said, "It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since they are blood money."
Matt.27.7  So they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.
Matt.27.9  Then was fulfilled what had been spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, saying, "And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him on whom a price had been set by some of the sons of Israel,
Matt.27.24  So when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but rather that a riot was beginning, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of this man's blood; see to it yourselves."
Matt.27.27  Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the praetorium, and they gathered the whole battalion before him.
Matt.27.30  And they spat upon him, and took the reed and struck him on the head.
Matt.27.48  And one of them at once ran and took a sponge, filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink.
Matt.27.54  When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe, and said, "Truly this was the Son of God!"
Matt.27.59  And Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen shroud,
Matt.28.9  And behold, Jesus met them and said, "Hail!" And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him.
Matt.28.11  While they were going, behold, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had taken place.
Matt.28.12  And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sum of money to the soldiers
Matt.28.15  So they took the money and did as they were directed; and this story has been spread among the Jews to this day.
Mark.1.31  And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever left her; and she served them.
Mark.2.9  Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, `Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, `Rise, take up your pallet and walk'?
Mark.2.11  "I say to you, rise, take up your pallet and go home."
Mark.2.12  And he rose, and immediately took up the pallet and went out before them all; so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!"
Mark.2.20  The days will come, when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast in that day.
Mark.4.15  And these are the ones along the path, where the word is sown; when they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word which is sown in them.
Mark.4.24  And he said to them, "Take heed what you hear; the measure you give will be the measure you get, and still more will be given you.
Mark.4.25  For to him who has will more be given; and from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away."
Mark.4.36  And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him.
Mark.5.40  And they laughed at him. But he put them all outside, and took the child's father and mother and those who were with him, and went in where the child was.
Mark.5.41  Taking her by the hand he said to her, "Talitha cumi"; which means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise."
Mark.6.3  Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?" And they took offense at him.
Mark.6.8  He charged them to take nothing for their journey except a staff; no bread, no bag, no money in their belts;
Mark.6.29  When his disciples heard of it, they came and took his body, and laid it in a tomb.
Mark.6.41  And taking the five loaves and the two fish he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples to set before the people; and he divided the two fish among them all.
Mark.6.43  And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish.
Mark.6.46  And after he had taken leave of them, he went up on the mountain to pray.
Mark.6.50  for they all saw him, and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, "Take heart, it is I; have no fear."
Mark.7.27  And he said to her, "Let the children first be fed, for it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."
Mark.7.33  And taking him aside from the multitude privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and he spat and touched his tongue;
Mark.8.6  And he commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground; and he took the seven loaves, and having given thanks he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people; and they set them before the crowd.
Mark.8.8  And they ate, and were satisfied; and they took up the broken pieces left over, seven baskets full.

Mark.8.19  When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" They said to him, "Twelve."
Mark.8.20  "And the seven for the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" And they said to him, "Seven."
Mark.8.23  And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the village; and when he had spit on his eyes and laid his hands upon him, he asked him, "Do you see anything?"
Mark.8.32  And he said this plainly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
Mark.8.34  And he called to him the multitude with his disciples, and said to them, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
Mark.9.2  And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain apart by themselves; and he was transfigured before them,
Mark.9.27  But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose.
Mark.9.36  And he took a child, and put him in the midst of them; and taking him in his arms, he said to them,
Mark.10.16  And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands upon them.
Mark.10.32  And they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them; and they were amazed, and those who followed were afraid. And taking the twelve again, he began to tell them what was to happen to him,
Mark.10.49  And Jesus stopped and said, "Call him." And they called the blind man, saying to him, "Take heart; rise, he is calling you."
Mark.11.23  Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
Mark.12.3  And they took him and beat him, and sent him away empty-handed.
Mark.12.8  And they took him and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
Mark.12.19  "Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife, but leaves no child, the man must take the wife, and raise up children for his brother.
Mark.12.20  There were seven brothers; the first took a wife, and when he died left no children;
Mark.12.21  and the second took her, and died, leaving no children; and the third likewise;
Mark.13.5  And Jesus began to say to them, "Take heed that no one leads you astray.
Mark.13.7  And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed; this must take place, but the end is not yet.
Mark.13.9  "But take heed to yourselves; for they will deliver you up to councils; and you will be beaten in synagogues; and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear testimony before them.

Mark.14.22  And as they were eating, he took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to them, and said, "Take; this is my body."
Mark.14.23  And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, and they all drank of it.
Mark.14.33  And he took with him Peter and James and John, and began to be greatly distressed and troubled.
Mark.14.41  And he came the third time, and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? It is enough; the hour has come; the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Mark.15.23  And they offered him wine mingled with myrrh; but he did not take it.
Mark.15.24  And they crucified him, and divided his garments among them, casting lots for them, to decide what each should take.
Mark.15.36  And one ran and, filling a sponge full of vinegar, put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink, saying, "Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down."
Mark.15.43  Joseph of Arimathea, a respected member of the council, who was also himself looking for the kingdom of God, took courage and went to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus.
Mark.15.46  And he bought a linen shroud, and taking him down, wrapped him in the linen shroud, and laid him in a tomb which had been hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.
Mark.16.19  So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
Luke.1.25  "Thus the Lord has done to me in the days when he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men."
Luke.2.28  he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said,

Luke.6.30  Give to every one who begs from you; and of him who takes away your goods do not ask them again.
Luke.6.42  Or how can you say to your brother, `Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye.
Luke.7.23  And blessed is he who takes no offense at me."
Luke.7.36  One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee's house, and took his place at table.
Luke.8.12  The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, that they may not believe and be saved.
Luke.8.18  Take heed then how you hear; for to him who has will more be given, and from him who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away."

Luke.9.3  And he said to them, "Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics.
Luke.9.10  On their return the apostles told him what they had done. And he took them and withdrew apart to a city called Bethsaida.

Luke.9.28  Now about eight days after these sayings he took with him Peter and John and James, and went up on the mountain to pray.
Luke.9.47  But when Jesus perceived the thought of their hearts, he took a child and put him by his side,
Luke.10.34  and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; then he set him on his own beast and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
Luke.10.35  And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, `Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.'
Luke.10.42  one thing is needful. Mary has chosen the good portion, which shall not be taken away from her."
Luke.11.22  but when one stronger than he assails him and overcomes him, he takes away his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoil.
Luke.11.52  Woe to you lawyers! for you have taken away the key of knowledge; you did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering."
Luke.12.15  And he said to them, "Take heed, and beware of all covetousness; for a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
Luke.12.19  And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, be merry.'

Luke.14.31  Or what king, going to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and take counsel whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?
Luke.15.13  Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took his journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in loose living.
Luke.16.3  And the steward said to himself, `What shall I do, since my master is taking the stewardship away from me? I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg.
Luke.16.6  He said, `A hundred measures of oil.' And he said to him, `Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.'
Luke.16.7  Then he said to another, `And how much do you owe?' He said, `A hundred measures of wheat.' He said to him, `Take your bill, and write eighty.'
Luke.17.3  Take heed to yourselves; if your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him;
Luke.17.31  On that day, let him who is on the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take them away; and likewise let him who is in the field not turn back.
Luke.17.34  I tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.
Luke.17.35  There will be two women grinding together; one will be taken and the other left."
Luke.18.31  And taking the twelve, he said to them, "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written of the Son of man by the prophets will be accomplished.
Luke.19.21  for I was afraid of you, because you are a severe man; you take up what you did not lay down, and reap what you did not sow.'
Luke.19.22  He said to him, `I will condemn you out of your own mouth, you wicked servant! You knew that I was a severe man, taking up what I did not lay down and reaping what I did not sow?
Luke.19.24  And he said to those who stood by, `Take the pound from him, and give it to him who has the ten pounds.'
Luke.19.26  `I tell you, that to every one who has will more be given; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
Luke.20.20  So they watched him, and sent spies, who pretended to be sincere, that they might take hold of what he said, so as to deliver him up to the authority and jurisdiction of the governor.
Luke.20.28  and they asked him a question, saying, "Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies, having a wife but no children, the man must take the wife and raise up children for his brother.
Luke.20.29  Now there were seven brothers; the first took a wife, and died without children;
Luke.20.31  and the third took her, and likewise all seven left no children and died.
Luke.21.7  And they asked him, "Teacher, when will this be, and what will be the sign when this is about to take place?"
Luke.21.8  And he said, "Take heed that you are not led astray; for many will come in my name, saying, `I am he!' and, `The time is at hand!' Do not go after them.
Luke.21.9  And when you hear of wars and tumults, do not be terrified; for this must first take place, but the end will not be at once."
Luke.21.28  Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."
Luke.21.31  So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near.
Luke.21.32  Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all has taken place.
Luke.21.34  "But take heed to yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a snare;
Luke.21.36  But watch at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of man."
Luke.22.17  And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he said, "Take this, and divide it among yourselves;
Luke.22.19  And he took bread, and when he had given thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me."
Luke.22.36  He said to them, "But now, let him who has a purse take it, and likewise a bag. And let him who has no sword sell his mantle and buy one.
Luke.23.47  Now when the centurion saw what had taken place, he praised God, and said, "Certainly this man was innocent!"
Luke.23.48  And all the multitudes who assembled to see the sight, when they saw what had taken place, returned home beating their breasts.
Luke.23.53  Then he took it down and wrapped it in a linen shroud, and laid him in a rock-hewn tomb, where no one had ever yet been laid.
Luke.24.1  But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices which they had prepared.
Luke.24.30  When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to them.
Luke.24.43  and he took it and ate before them.
John.1.28  This took place in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
John.1.29  The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
John.2.8  He said to them, "Now draw some out, and take it to the steward of the feast." So they took it.
John.2.16  And he told those who sold the pigeons, "Take these things away; you shall not make my Father's house a house of trade."
John.2.20  The Jews then said, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?"
John.5.8  Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your pallet, and walk."
John.5.9  And at once the man was healed, and he took up his pallet and walked. Now that day was the sabbath.
John.5.11  But he answered them, "The man who healed me said to me, `Take up your pallet, and walk.'"

John.11.41  So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, "Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
John.11.53  So from that day on they took counsel how to put him to death.
John.12.3  Mary took a pound of costly ointment of pure nard and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.

John.13.19  I tell you this now, before it takes place, that when it does take place you may believe that I am he.

John.19.27  Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.
John.19.31  Since it was the day of Preparation, in order to prevent the bodies from remaining on the cross on the sabbath (for that sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
John.19.36  For these things took place that the scripture might be fulfilled, "Not a bone of him shall be broken."
John.19.38  After this Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him leave. So he came and took away his body.
John.19.40  They took the body of Jesus, and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews.
John.20.1  Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.
John.20.2  So she ran, and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him."
John.20.13  They said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him."
John.20.15  Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom do you seek?" Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away."

Acts.16.37  But Paul said to them, "They have beaten us publicly, uncondemned, men who are Roman citizens, and have thrown us into prison; and do they now cast us out secretly? No! let them come themselves and take us out."
Acts.16.39  so they came and apologized to them. And they took them out and asked them to leave the city.
Acts.17.5  But the Jews were jealous, and taking some wicked fellows of the rabble, they gathered a crowd, set the city in an uproar, and attacked the house of Jason, seeking to bring them out to the people.
