Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes;
truly, I say to you, he will gird himself and have them sit at table,
and he will come and serve them.
Thus he spoke, and then he said to them, "Our friend Lazarus has
fallen asleep, but I go to awake him out of sleep."
Therefore it is said, "Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and
Christ shall give you light."
So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be
Awake, and strengthen what remains and is on the point of death, for I
have not found your works perfect in the sight of my God.
Remember then what you received and heard; keep that, and repent. If
you will not awake, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at
what hour I will come upon you.
("Lo, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is he who is awake, keeping his
garments that he may not go naked and be seen exposed!")
